Holy Thursday reminds us of Heaven’s greatest gifts of love to us all. Jesus gives himself in the Eucharist, and He says to his disciples: “Love one another as I have loved you.” He is the first to show us this measure of love by kneeling down and washing their feet. It’s a love that is humble, that bends down and serves… that gives its life.
Recently I’ve been trying to follow in his footsteps and live like this, and doing so has transformed my everyday life. Each day I understand more deeply that it’s not what I do that matters the most but how I do it. I believe that in the end, only Love will remain.
